Why is it that every time I look in my mail box I find letters from people wanting money for this or that? I mean seriously don't people realize that there are college students out there without enough money as is?
Well, you welcomed criticism, right? So here goes. You shouldn't tilt comic bubbles like that, it looks unnatural. It's okay if they're not fully contained in the panel, but it's more natural if they're not tilty, and the text is straight. It's a bit hard to read when it's tilty. Except for the last bubble, which works well that way.
Aang's face in the second panel is probably the best expression you produced. It's just totally GLEE. (You might want to look into a chibi face tutorial, chibis are harder to draw than they look: I certainly can't do them... a couple of your faces are a little awkward. Mainly Katara's in the last panel.)
The soft background works really well, it doesn't distract but it's better than if you would've just had a blank thing going on. You could've had harder lines on the characters, it would've made them pop out a bit more. Try inking, if you're going to color in photoshop, or if you have trouble with that, darkening the lines by duplicating the layer as a multiply layer or using the levels adjuster.
Just a few things to keep in mind if you're going to keep doing comics. Something I'd definately suggest you do. You have quite a good sense of deadpan humor going on here. I laaaughed. That was a well put together joke. And it's way harder to find good writing than it is to find good artists. If you keep practicing, you'll get your technique together. But it's hard to learn to write funny dialogue. You wrote funny dialogue! Woo. Yeah. XD The joke came out really well.
Welcome to DeviantArt. Hope you didn't mind the criticism.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
